Cadbury Mishti Sera Shristi in association with ABP

IIP, the best photography institute in Kolkata now provides the opportunity for students to take part in Cadbury Mishti Shera Srishti event. Cadbury Mishti Shera Srishti in association with The Telegraph and Anandabazar Patrika, brings the biggest wedding of the season, our overwhelmed students nowhere fell short of enthusiasm to cover the marriage ceremony of the sweetest couple in town.  It’s Mishti’s wedding and the groom is everyone’s favourite, the chocolate-boy hero, Mr Cadbury! The immense wedding was shown in 19 sweet chains across Calcutta, Barasat, Howrah and Durgapur signing up to generate a signature fusion of Cadbury with Mishti. ‘Mishti’, the very word makes people salivate and each and every Bengali takes pride from their rich ‘sweet heritage’. 

 Yet like so many other ‘Bengali prides’, ‘mishti’ is also losing out some of its magnetism and charisma compared to it’s hey days in the past but the time has approached to rejuvenate and re-establish ‘mishti’ to its former glory. Our students went to different sweet shops like Ganguram , Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick, Bhikharam Chandmal, Kamdhenu Sweets, Rishra’s Felu Modak etc… to cover the event.

  “Like every wedding, this was also a fun event  along with a Mishti-eating competition, a best-dressed couple contest, Chocolate Day celebrations before the culmination of the gala awards ceremony and Mishti fair, I was enjoying and clicking the pictures”, said Ramanuj Bhattacharya, our student. “Our visit to the wedding began with Balaram Mullick Radharaman Mullick sweet shop which had its own way of making this sweet celebration. The store had Cadbury-Mishti sweets in its racks and of course the people who inaugurated this celebration were also present over there”, said Suman Das, Student. “We entered Bikharam and their celebration of Cadbury-Mishti'r biye was graced by the presence of famous faces of tollywood”, said Sumantro Roy and Nilarun Basu, Students of IIP.
