By our student Aditya Bhadra

A shot where moving subject is in focus while the background being blurred is named as Panning in Photography
. The student nowhere fell diminutive of eagerness and keenness to explore the fervor of clicking.

By our student Anindo Dey
“Panning is a great technique for action and, once perfected, the main subject will be sharp against a blurred background. The idea is to follow the subject as it passes and continue to follow it while pressing the shutter even after the shot is taken” said Srijani Chakroborty, student.
By our student Ansari Kader
“I tried to pan at the same speed as the subject to make its appearance sharp against a streaking blurred background. To ensure smooth results keep I kept my feet still and rotate the top half of of my body to track the subject” said Aparupa Banerjee, student. “I have Prefocused my camera at a point where the subject will pass to ensure the picture is sharp” said Anindyo Dey, student.
By our student Sayantan Bhattacharyawww.iipcal.com

“The shutter should be pressed when the subject reaches a midpoint along the panning track to ensure it's in the best position, I was sitting still without moving up or down to prevent subject blur” said Aditya Bhadra, student.

By our student Aditya Bhadra
With cracking of dawn and sunlight chirping out the horizon, the dewdrops settling its way on the grasses and the transparent fog reimbursing out, the Fords, Fiats, Austin, Buicks, Plymouth, Volkswagen, Jaguars and Audis etc. came into display from their equally elderly garages.
By our student Aditya Bhadra
Outside the stadium, the cars drove through relatively clear streets, with lots of people gathering on the side of the road to watch the spectacle.
By our student Arup Adhikary
The IIPans were at their zenith with their encouragement to enclose the spectacle of the cars along with the old world, British Era and lifestyle through their lenses. “There are two angles from which the car can be photographed, first the classic standing position and the second is to align yourself to the height of the bonnet”, said Ratul Chowdhury, student.

Food Photography @ Square 405, Kolkata

Food photography, a special genre in the world of commercial photography is itself of a very unintimidating nature. IIP’ians got  their hand on experience now on food photography in Square 405,Mani Square .Our students attempted with their professional level of photography, they have implicated the intensity of complexity in making a dish look aesthetically  pleasant. Ram-Anuj Bhattacharya, a student of IIP, comes up with a notion,
Food Photography is a descendent of still life painting, it opens the subject matter to photographer’s art.”Our student being guided by our eminent faculties Mr. Biswajit Chatterjee, Mr. Subhasish Banerjee and Mr.Sudipto Ray have cultivated their technique with a special use of lighting, props, and shot selection.

I was surprised how my newly learnt skills had turned into a hawk’s eye perspective, stepping outside my comfort zone” said Anuradha Sen, student
The eye of the artists is not only concerned with HOW to shoot something, but WHAT to shoot. In some cases, the preparation of a meal could be more aesthetically appealing than the dish itself and here is the point where a photographer’s art takes a leap.
www.iipcal.com
“A food dish looks promising but is flawed in some way for example, it was under exposed, poorly composed, or is  recorded with incorrect white balance but, I have used basic enhancing tools to make it look close to perfect including suitable sharpening and removal of blemishes from uneven textures since, it was about food and  we had to concentrate on the texture” said Anuradha Mitra,Student. In totality it was an another stupendous experience accompanied with loads of knowledge and learning.

Cadbury Mishti Sera Shristi in association with ABP

IIP, the best photography institute in Kolkata now provides the opportunity for students to take part in Cadbury Mishti Shera Srishti event. Cadbury Mishti Shera Srishti in association with The Telegraph and Anandabazar Patrika, brings the biggest wedding of the season, our overwhelmed students nowhere fell short of enthusiasm to cover the marriage ceremony of the sweetest couple in town.  It’s Mishti’s wedding and the groom is everyone’s favourite, the chocolate-boy hero, Mr Cadbury! The immense wedding was shown in 19 sweet chains across Calcutta, Barasat, Howrah and Durgapur signing up to generate a signature fusion of Cadbury with Mishti. ‘Mishti’, the very word makes people salivate and each and every Bengali takes pride from their rich ‘sweet heritage’.

Yet like so many other ‘Bengali prides’, ‘mishti’ is also losing out some of its magnetism and charisma compared to it’s hey days in the past but the time has approached to rejuvenate and re-establish ‘mishti’ to its former glory. Our students went to different sweet shops like Ganguram , Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick, Bhikharam Chandmal, Kamdhenu Sweets, Rishra’s Felu Modak etc… to cover the event.
“Like every wedding, this was also a fun event  along with a Mishti-eating competition, a best-dressed couple contest, Chocolate Day celebrations before the culmination of the gala awards ceremony and Mishti fair, I was enjoying and clicking the pictures”, said Ramanuj Bhattacharya, our student. Our visit to the wedding began with Balaram Mullick Radharaman Mullick sweet shop which had its own way of making this sweet celebration. The store had Cadbury-Mishti sweets in its racks and of course the people who inaugurated this celebration were also present over there”, said Suman Das, Student. “We entered Bikharam and their celebration of Cadbury-Mishti'r biye was graced by the presence of famous faces of tollywood”, said Sumantro Roy and Nilarun Basu, Students of IIP.
